Creative Self Care
Feeling stressed or frazzled.
You really need a time out.
It is time for creative self care.
I would start by reading the Staying Present in Your Art Practice blog post.
Sometimes taking a few minutes to make something ‘ugly’ and grungy and seeing the beauty is just what you need.
Now make some thing beautiful for your self.
- Scribble everything that is heavy on your mind in black ink. 
- Cover it up with collage papers or paint, leaving some of your scribbles exposed. 
- Look at your piece from every angle and think about what you see. If you feel some solutions to your heaviness, scribble that our and repeat step two. 
- Grab a neutral color and add it to your page around the rough edges of your piece. 
- Add some bold marks in a dark contrasting color. 
- Finish your piece with clipart or fodder.
